Route 66 Museum will hold an open house on Saturday, July 14, from 2 to 8 p.m. in recognition of National Collector Car Appreciation Day.
On display will be the Funny Car in which "Fast Jack" Beckman set the NHRA national speed record of 333.66 mph. Beckman will be on hand from 6 to 7 p.m. to sign diecast models of his MTS Funny Car; models will also be on sale to benefit The Wounded Warrior Project.
On display also will be 60 classic/collector cars from the 1930s through the 1970s and hundreds of pieces of racing and automobile memorabilia. The Mail Terminal Services race shop will also be open to view.
Donations will be collected at the door to benefit The Wounded Warrior Project; Mail Terminal Services will match what is collected at the door, dollar for dollar.
