Schumacher, Brown a hit with NASCAR burnouts

Jeff Hammond, the "official starter," gave instructions to Tony Schumcher, crew chief Mike Green, and Antron Brown prior to their burnouts.
“This is the perfect opportunity to be able to drive for the U.S. Army,” said Schumacher. “My car is full Army, and Antron’s car still obviously represents the Army too. So, for Memorial Day, to be able to come out and just do a burnout at such an awesome facility, to come out in front of all of these NASCAR fans, and then light up 16,000 horsepower and do a side-by-side burnout … you couldn’t ask for anything more. You just can’t beat it.”
Brown noted the feel of the excitement of such a big event that morning as he rode into Charlotte Motor Speedway. “When you walk up on the site, and you come in through the back gate, I’m like, 'Check this out,' ” said Brown. “It’s plum wild. You come here, and you get this kind of experience. There are some big celebrations, but yet you are going to see an intense race. It is definitely a celebration. Generally, when you come down here for Memorial Day weekend, it’s the kind of celebration you like to see. They are celebrating our country and our soldiers and everything they do.”
