NHRA history-maker Erica Enders, who became the first female to win a Pro Stock race on July 1 at Route 66 Raceway near Chicago, will be a guest on Wind Tunnel on Speed TV this Sunday, July 15. Enders, 28, will be interviewed via satellite by longtime host Dave Despain on the popular motorsports talk show. Despain will be joined on the set by co-hosts Robin Miller and Tommy Kendall.
“I’m excited and honored to be on Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain,” said Enders, driver of the GK Motorsports Chevy Cobalt. “I watch that show all the time and I think it is so cool that he always has NHRA drivers on and knows drag racing so well. I am looking forward to it.”
Enders, one of only six women who have competed in NHRA Pro Stock racing in its 42-year history, has raced to seven final round appearances and three No. 1 qualifying positions since she started her pro driving career in 2005. She is the 12th female driver to win an NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series event, joining Shirley Muldowney, Angelle Sampey, Melanie Troxel, Ashley Force Hood, Karen Stoffer and Hillary Will among others.
The show airs from 9-10 p.m. ET. Fans are encouraged to submit questions to the show by calling 1-866-TUNNEL or e-mailing windtunnel@speedtv.com
